Why It Is Important: Shows that Palestinian leaders, including Abbas' Fatah party, deliberately spread lies about Israel trying to destroy the Al Aqsa mosque. These lies led to violent Arab riots. Also demonstrates that the Hurva synagogue was destroyed multiple times by Arabs, the last time being when Jordan gained the West Bank in 1948.
